Why we need the ILA

Now that leaseholders across the borough are getting huge bills of betweeen £20,000 and £40,000 the time has come for us to come out fighting. We can only do this if we all work together. The Association is being formed so that we can do this.
If leaseholders are to have any chance of challenging their bills we need to be organised and we need professional advice from surveyors and lawyers. We can only afford this if we all chip in a small amount.
On top of this we believe that the Forum, which is the current 'consultative panel', doesn't really cater for the needs of leaseholders over a broad range of areas. So much so, that even the Audit Commission has told the Council that it needs to improve the way it consults and involves leaseholders.
Leaseholders need to unite for the benefit of all.
