Services ........ stronger together ........ The Association intends to be 'service driven' to cut bills and support leaseholders. The most likley way of doing this will be through expanding the number of local associations so that we can pool our resources. We may not provide all the services directly but should be in a position to pay other organisations, such as the Islington Law Centre or the College of Law, so that people can get initial advice. We will employ our own surveyors so that we can scrutinise major works bills and challenge unreasonable costs. The Association will encourage and support group cases and will negotiate on your behalf. If necessary we will advise and support you if going to court (Leasehold Valuation Tribunal) is the only option. The Association will              Save you money by challenging major works bills. Establish our own office and advice surgeries. Hire professional advice from lawyers & surveyors. Produce a regular NewsLetter for leaseholders. Ensure leaseholders know their legal rights. Produce leaflets on our legal rights and procedures. Negotiate with the Council on behalf of leaseholders. Campaign for a fair deal for leaseholders.
